Large floral paintings in oil are what I feel most drawn to. I am always looking for
the tiny details in nature not really concentrating on the big picture. By painting a
flower on such a large scale, I hope to make it impossible for people to ignore its
beauty . In some instances the innermost parts of a flower can be the most beautiful
and if captured correctly become quite abstract.
I am a self-taught artist, but I have had much help and inspiration from several
wonderful artists. Lynn Long, Tom Douglas, Robert Ring and Carolyn Watson have
taught me so much, and I have not forgotten their patience and encouragement
I am a member of the Mississippi Painters Society. I have a studio in my home,
where I spend most of my time painting and drawing. I hope that my passion for art
and nature is manifested in my work.
Thank you for visiting my website. Have a look around. I hope you enjoy my art. If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you.

From a very early age I was taught
to love nature and have always felt
inspired by the beauty around me.
Art has always played a significant
role in my life. Painting is a passion
for me. It is not only something that I
love to do, but something I need to
do. If I am not painting, I am planning
my next painting project. I am
constantly trying to challenge myself
to learn and experiment with new
and different techniques and
perspectives.
